Jade 6.0 is a plug-in for Adobe Acrobat that gives you an easy-to-use tool to extract text, tabular data and graphics contained in PDF files. Jade creates a Plug-in Menu and a Jade icon tool inside Acrobat.
By clicking on the newly created Jade icon, you can now define the extraction zone. The tool is very similar to defining a text box in Word. Using the plug-in, you create "extraction zones" around the data or text and then Jade automatically recognizes the characters within the zone.
The text formatting and layout structure is maintained, and the users choose and identify the specific zone type selected from the options of Text, Table or Graphic.
The specific zone's content is then copied to the clipboard and easily pasted into your word processing document.
The plug-in requires Acrobat 4, 5 or 6 and is not compatible with the free Acrobat Reader.
