PDF2Office Personal v2.0 plug-in converts PDF documents to Microsoft Word format.

Recosoft Corp., a developer of cross-platform Macintosh and Windows file format conversion solutions, has announced the release of its PDF-to-Word conversion tool, PDF2Office Personal Version 2.0. Recosoft calls the utility a major upgrade to its conversion plug-in that converts PDF files to the Windows platform.

With the upgrade features, PDF2Office Personal v2.0 recreates the original construction and layout of the document including: forming paragraphs, applying styles, regrouping independent graphic elements, extracting images, creating tables, and processing headers/footers, endnotes/footnotes and columns/sections automatically.

Recosoft, based in Osaka, Japan, noted the key features of this upgrade include Acrobat 6 PDF doc support, layout reconstruction and conversion of graphics to native type. Graphics are converted to Microsoft Word format, which enables users to fully edit graphics using the native drawing tools. There is also a retain layout/process mode, which reconstructs a PDF document page by page. Additionally there is a file-size reduction feature, allowing for 20 to 70 percent reducing of file size for documents containing many images.

The company said in a statement that customers who have purchased PDF2Office Personal v1.0 are entitled to a free upgrade to PDF2Office Personal v2.0. PDF2Office Personal v2.0 is available immediately from the Recosoft online store for $49.
