The update aims to improve conversion compatibility with Word, RTF, AppleWorks and PowerPoint formats.

Japan-based Recosoft Corporation has released an updated version of its file to PDF conversion tool.

The latest release is targeted at enhancing conversion capabilities for Mac OS X users including delivering Partial Universal Binary within PDF2Office Professional in order to boost text extraction from PDF files.

In addition, Recosoft has updated the PDF Reconstruction engine for conversion compatibility with Word, RTF, AppleWorks and PowerPoint formats.

Version 3.1 also features improvements to image color spaces and the layout reconstruction process.

Pricing runs $129 for a single licensed version of the program.
