Customer quotes saved in PDF for 'content integrity, universal accessibility, and easy distribution to the customer,' according to company.

The price quote can be the most sensitive document that a salesperson can create -- and once created, it needs to be locked down and made uneditable by the customer... or the competition. Enter PDF, technology that’s up to the task.

SugarCRM Inc. has announced a new module for its open-source customer relationship management (CRM) software, the free SugarSales 2.0 and the commercial SugarSales 2.0 Professional, that outputs quotes to PDF, specifically because of the format’s ability to be locked down. The upgrade also includes new team-sales functionality and Web integration of sales lead management.

"Sugar Sales 2.0 is a major new functional release that rivals offerings of more expensive, closed source, proprietary competitors," says John Roberts, CEO of SugarCRM. "Sugar Sales 2.0 includes 100% of the most critical features that sales professionals rely on."
