Create robust PDF Conversion Solutions using activePDF
DocConverter
activePDF DocConverter is a
powerful server-sided document converter that can work across a network using
the DocConverter remote OCX. This OCX can be distributed within any application
that is deployed in an intranet environment to provide submission to the
centralized DocConverter Server. The converted documents can then be transferred
back to the client. DocConverter also provides a powerful scanned-directory
interface that can pick up a document upon its placement into a defined
directory. This directory can also be tied to a “script to execute upon
completion”, allowing the conversion status to be verified using DocConverter
“intrinsic variables” allowing for emailing of the converted PDF documents or
even placing them into a database for storage.

Silent Browser-based PDF Printing using activePDF PDFPrint
PDFPrint is a client-side plug-in
that invokes the Adobe® Reader installed on a client’s machine,
automating the printing of web accessible PDFs to the client’s physical printer.
The plug-in needs to be installed on the client machine and is invoked through
an embed tag within the browser. The embed tag can receive parameters allowing
multiple PDFs to be printed, browser redirection, Adobe Reader to run
interactively or silently, or change the default printer prior to a multiple job
submission. PDFPrint is typically used in an environment where it is not desired
to allow the user control over the printing process.
