Maynard, Mass.-based Kaon Interactive Inc. has unveiled Kaon 3D PDF, its three-dimensional interactive animation PDF solution targeted at the sales and marketing sector using the Adobe Reader 7.0 software.

"By harnessing Adobe PDF as part of its solution, Kaon is ensuring that virtually anyone inside or outside an organization can view and interact with 3-D objects, using nothing more than free Adobe Reader 7.0 software," said Eugene Lee, vice president of marketing for the Intelligent Documents Business Units at Adobe.

Kaon's 3-D modeling process enables users to prepare and place 3-D data and associated scripting into an existing PDF utilizing Kaon 3D PDF.

The 3-D solution requires Version 7.0 or later of Adobe Reader to view the PDF files and works on both Macintosh- and Windows-based operating systems.

In addition, Kaon 3D PDF gives users the ability to customize the image or model of a product. Users can also configure and color the image within the PDF.
