When touching up a PDF, how can you tell if you?re using the proper font?

I am working on OSX  10.3.5 with Adobe Professional, trying to put a book written in Word on to a CD. It is almost entirely in Times New Roman (TNR) 12, with some bold and some italic, and occasional Greek letters (sigma). I checked, TNR is embedded, but sometimes when I convert a chapter it looks a little different, and when I retouch there are long delays for something like reinstalling fonts. How can I tell what font a finished PDF document is in? And when I have to retouch (mostly changing a few internal references to other page numbers), how can I make sure they are in the same font? --Bob Holt

After editing, you should highlight the selected text region and right click. This will enable the Properties dialogue and you can ensure the font is embedded at this point. Please ensure you then SAVE the PDF, since this is the point when the font is embedded/re-embedded into the PDF. ?Jon
