The latest version of the server-based application automates the process of adding signature fields in PDF documents.Appligent last week released the server-based PDF application SecurSign 3.0, which allows users to place signature fields directly into existing PDF documents without stopping document workflow.
"Because this is server-based, it enables companies that process a large number of PDF documents to automate the signature field process," said Victor Votsch, director of corporate communications for Appligent Inc. in Lansdowne, Pa.
"There is no longer a need to reformat and then reflow the documents, as is the case when adding the signature fields manually. Users can now take any PDF document, add a signature field, and sign the field or leave it to be signed automatically," Votsch said.
SecurSign 3.0 also provides support for customized visible signatures and seals. Seals can be corporate logos, scanned handwritten signatures or any PDF document. For instance, if users want to scan their actual signatures and format the result as PDFs, the seals can then be placed directly in the signature field.
"This update addresses customer needs and should lead to the increased use of digital signatures for PDF documents in corporate workflows," said Virginia Gavin, president of Appligent.
SecurSign 3.0 is priced at $2,495 per server license, with development licenses available at a 50 percent discount.
