Apago's release gives users the ability to reduce PDF files by as much as 90 percent of their original size.

Apago has announced the upgraded release of PDF Shrink 4.0 for Mac OS X users. The updated release gives users the ability to reduce PDF files by as much as 90 percent of their original size.

In June, the company released the beta version of the PDF optimizing program. The 4.0 release adds a user-friendly wizard for optimizing PDFs and simplifying the PDF optimizing process for users.

In addition, this release adds encryption features and support for JPEG 2000 image compression.

Pricing runs $35 for a single licensed version of the program.
