The new Automailer module enables the mass mailing of invoices and statements as signed PDFs.Aloaha Software has added the Aloaha Automailer module to its Aloaha PDF Suite of tools, giving users the capacity to create mass mailings of digitally signed PDF documents.
The Aloaha Automailer uses the built-in Aloaha Scripting Engine to extract the contents of the first page. The Automailer reads commands that have been embedded into the original document and executes them, enabling users to print invoices from accounting software, for example.
Aloaha then extracts each mail address, creates a PDF, digitally signs it and e-mails it to the recipient.
The module addresses the growing demand for the ability to mass-create and mail digitally signed PDF documents, as with electronic invoices and bank statements, according to a company statement.
This release from Germany-based Aloaha Software, part of Wrocklage Intermedia GmbH, also works with Unix/mainframe-based systems.
"For users who may have very old accounting software or Unix/mainframe-based accounting software [that cannot print to a Windows printer], using Aloaha Automailer they can drop their ASCII invoices into the autoprint folder of Aloaha, and Aloaha will even convert these files," company spokesperson Frank Hellman said.
Aloaha PDF Automailer is a module of the Aloaha PDF Suite and does not require additional licensing. Pricing of the Aloaha PDF Suite starts at $49.
