Acrobat FDF Toolkit
The Acrobat FDF Toolkit is currently not available for download - Adobe's site says "Acrobat 6 version - coming soon. Please check back soon for a new version." But when it is available, Adobe's FDF toolkits make it much easier to parse/generate FDF, taking full advantage of the richness of FDF. These multi-language, thread-safe libraries, are now available for COM on Windows, C and Perl for Windows, Solaris, AIX or Linux, or Java for all 1.2 or higher compatible VM's.

This free download from Adobe offers the header files and a starter sample for you to use in developing plug-ins that work with the various flavors of Acrobat.

The title of the article pretty much tells it all. The initial draft of this paper was written for a person who didn't know much about LaTeX and it was expanded and polished with that same point of view. Neither is it assumed that the reader knows much about Adobe Acrobat suite of software.
