I am using Adobe Acrobat 6. I want URLs indicated in the text of a document, or something I print from a Web site, to be an active link in the PDF document without having to go in and add the link.

Hi, Bill. There is an Acrobat menu item for this. Go to Advanced->Links->Create from URLs in Document. It's in both Acrobat 6 and 7. I think it's also in 5, but I haven't checked. There is also an easy JavaScript for this that gives you a little more control over the process, "this.addWeblinks()". You can execute it from the console window.
