Picsel PDF Viewer will be optimized for upcoming MS Windows Mobile-based Treo smart phones.Mobile solutions provider Picsel Technologies' Picsel PDF Viewer will soon be rolled out with Palm Inc.'s future line of Microsoft Windows Mobile-based Treo smart phones.
The PDF viewing solution will give Treo users the ability to access full, native PDF documents directly from their handsets, without the need to convert or reformat any content.
Picsel's senior marketing manager, Zubair Salim, said support for Palm has been one of the main requests coming through the consumer feedback centers.
"Essentially, Picsel is delivering the same content seen on the PC. However, we took this two steps further. Not only do we allow for the original file to be delivered and viewed natively on the handset without syncing, we have also developed a groundbreaking user interface which makes document content easily viewable on smaller screens," said Salim.

For mobile users, the viewing solution's user interface gives fast rendering speed for zooming and panning in any direction, as well as accurate page formatting for both fonts and graphics. The user interface also provides smooth font replication.
Salim said the company is addressing future features, including enhancing the viewing experience and adding intelligent search capabilities.
Next-generation Treo smart phones are expected to be available to Verizon Wireless customers in early 2006.
