How To: Converting your PDF into a slideshow is an easy way to spruce up your presentation.Slideshows aren't just the domain of PowerPoint or competitors such as S5 or Keynote.
With Acrobat 7.0, you can add transitions to your PDF pages and configure them according to how your document is designed. All you'll need for this quick how-to is an existing PDF. We decided to use one of our recent favorite PDFs: Uncle Mark's 2006 Gift Guide and Almanac.
1. Choose Document > Set Page Transitions to open the Page Transition dialog.
2. In the Page Transition dialog, select an option from the Effect pull-down list.
3. Select the page range to apply the effect to.
4. Click OK to close the dialog.
Now that you've added the transitions to the page, you can view them in full screen mode. Click the full screen button on the lower left-hand corner to begin.
It's also quite easy to make your PDF open directly into slideshow mode.
Choose File > Document Properties and select the Initial View tab. Under Document Options, select the Show drop-down menu and choose Page Only. Then, under magnification, choose Fit Page. Finally, under Window Options, check the box beside Open in Full Screen mode. Click OK and save your PDF.
