SER has formed a partnership with Optika, an enterprise content management provider of imaging, workflow, collaboration and records management software. Using SER’s software—SERdistiller, the company’s Intelligent Document Recognition (IDR) solution--Optika is helping its customers phase out the manual effort that they formerly used to classify and index all the documents that go into Optika’s Acorde ECM system.

SER distiller provides an alternative to traditional solutions for capturing business information from paper-based documents, such as manual data entry or forms processing technologies. Now, companies can free up time and workflow issues that were formerly associated with manual data capture. As an added bonus, the system ensures the analysis, recognition and sorting of incoming documents based upon the actual content of the document, independent of data field location or form layout. In fact, SERdistiller allows users to process both structured and unstructured documents with just one solution.
