Latest release puts the C for 'customer' in CRM.
NetSuite
Inc. has officially released
its updated NetSuite 10.0. Zach Nelson, CEO, stated about the release, "The One System
architecture of NetSuite 10.0 enables it to go beyond a 360-degree view of the
customer to actually anticipate customers' needs and desires. The more you know
about your customers, the better you are at selling and servicing
them.”
NetSuite 10.0 integrates a One System architecture that allows CRM, ERP
and e-commerce processes all to be managed in a single database. Yankee Group
CRM Project Manager Sheryl Kingston said, "The real goldmine here is the
resulting intersection of technology and data: actionable insight.”
This e-commerce focused version was six years in the making, and it’s all
about getting the customer involved in the system. NetSuite 10.0 was
specifically designed to impact and enable the e-commerce side of customers and
marketers. Included in this version is the NetSuite Upsell Manager, which
incorporates customer comments and Web analytics tracking, and then makes
recommendations as to what the customer will buy. James McGeever, CFO said in
our interview, “The impact on e-commerce is going to be made with its Web
tracking analytics. It will tell you everything a customer does; where you win
them, and where you lose them. This will in turn impact the Web side of business
because the Web analytics increases the conversion.”
One company who is already using the NetSuite web analytics with great
success is Angels Garden Gifts. With a brick and mortar store in Lexington, MI and one in Pensacola,
FL, and an ever-expanding online arm, this store tracks e-mail addresses and
what their customers are buying and then sends out e-mails to upsell more
products via the site. With Christmas not far around the corner, their use of
NetSuite and its customer tracking analytics heralds a great similarity to the
verse, “He sees you when you’re sleeping, he knows when you’re awake,” from the
song “Santa Claus is coming to Town.” Only with NetSuite, the verse might go
something more like this, “We know what you’ve been buying, we know what you
will take.”
NetSuite 10.0 is available now and includes the NetSuite Upsell Manager
at no additional charge. NetCommerce Analytics is sold as an add-on module,
priced at $199/month.
