The company's ePrint 5 Professional offers businesses an easier way to convert files.Lead Technologies on Dec. 1 released an updated version of its LeadTools ePrint file conversion software.
ePrint 5 Professional allows business users to convert documents or images from any Windows application to file formats such as PDF, DOC, HTML, TXT, multipage TIFF, JPG, GIF and PNG.
"Being able to share documents and files is critical for all computer users and ePrint quickly and easily converts files to the most popular formats with a single click," Heather Wacker, Marketing Manager for Lead Technologies, said in a statement.
The new software also features an editing tool that enables users to add annotations to files, which will offer businesses a way to share information about documents by adding comments and other data to files before printing, including stamps, highlights, sticky notes, shapes, and lines.
ePrint 5 also comes with an advanced Workstation application, which lets users insert pages and rearrange pagination, as well as combine multiple files into a single file or delete pages from print jobs before the document is converted. The new product also allows users to set up local, system or network printers.
"Corporate users spend significant time exchanging data, and are often frustrated by incompatibility issues," Wacker said. "ePrint allows them to save significant time and money by enabling the interoperability of that data."
The updated software also provides business users with the following features:
Forms/stationary option, which allows users to add custom watermarks, headers and footers as well as form templates
New e-mail option, which will enable users to apply their own default e-mail program to send e-mails and access their default contact list
Updated ePrint printer interface, which will let users open the folder containing the users' file after saving; route to other system printers; and send saved files through e-mail without having to leave the screen
"For business users who are seeking better management of documents, ePrint 5 eliminates the complex problem of exchanging data," Wacker said.
LeadTools ePrint 5 Professional is $49 and is available immediately.
