Once you’ve created a form, how do you go about making it easier for a user?
Question:
I have created a Form and I am looking to make it more
intuitive. Ideally, when a selection is made in say a radio button, other
fields are automatically completed, based on the initial selection.
I am
guessing that I might need some JavaScript, but have no idea where to start. If
anyone could point in the right direction, would really
appreciate.

Answers:
Yes, you will need JavaScript. There are some sample
PDF forms on the Acrobat CD. There is JavaScript help PDF in Acrobat Help also.
You should refer to that.
Also, you can do a Google search on "PDF JavaScript
automatically complete field" and you'll find heaps of sample
code.

Check out John Deubert's new book on Amazon called "Extending Acrobat Forms with
Javascript.” It is
pretty easy to understand and use with scripts you can transcribe into your
document. John also has numerous example files at his website for book
purchasers to use as exercises or cannibalize for their own
needs.
