Software boosts PDF functionality for Enfocus PitStop Server users and includes several PDF utilities.Belgium-based Gradual Software has enhanced its desktop automation software solution CaslonFlow 5.5, adding advanced PDF functionality when used in combination with the stand-alone application Enfocus PitStop Server.
"By incorporating CaslonFlow 5.5 in the workflow, users can enhance overall productivity and overcome certain limitations inherent in the stand-alone PitStop Server,"
said Peter Camps, Gradual Software's chairman and CEO.
CaslonFlow 5.5 boosts functionality for automating incoming file handling, enhances both job flow and tracking capabilities, and enables split PDF files in workflows. PitStop Server does not support splitting or merging of PDF files, and CaslonFlow 5.5 enables users to split or merge multipage PDF files prior to preflighting in PitStop Server. The files may also be split after they have been preflighted, according to the company.
CaslonFlow also produces preflight summary information reports in simple text-based format or XML format. PitStop Server environments do not support XML-formatted reports.
In addition, Version 5.5 includes several new PDF processing tools from popular PDF tools vendors, including pdfInspektor3, pdfCorrect and pdfColorConvert from Germany-based Callas Software.
