Zevrix has released BatchOutput 1.0 giving users the ability to batch print and export multiple InDesign documents to PDF.

Users can output files with InDesign presets, as well as specify a page range and target destination for exported PDF files.

BatchOuput also features a reporting feature for the processing and status of batched files, giving users the option to open files in InDesign and reveal them in Finder, according to the company.

BatchOutput is priced at $25 and is compatible with Mac OS X 10.4.2 and higher versions, and also works with Adobe InDesign CS and CS2.

SANFACE Software has announced the release of txt2pdf 9.0. The newest release has been optimized for improved PDF output, according to the company Web site.

Txt2pdf is a stand-alone program that gives users the power to convert txt files into PDFs.

Users can add page numbers to the newly created PDF files as well as borders, backgrounds and foreground layers. Users can also highlight and bold text within the PDF files.

The license runs $39, and txt2pdf is available in several formats, including as PERL source code or as a .exe file.

PDF Tools AG has released 3-Heights PDF Validator, its application for verifying if PDF documents conform to a specific version of PDF or to PDF/A, the international standard for long-term electronic archiving.

The utility lets users customize conformance standards as well as specific internal corporate archiving standards for image output, approved fonts, specified metadata and selected scanners for output.
