Universe Software Adds FDF and XFDF File-Saving to PDF-FormServer 3.2.2
On Monday, Germany-based Universe Software GmbH released PDF-FormServer 3.2.2, giving users save options for FDF (Form Definition File) and XFDF (XML Forms Data Format) files.
PDF-FormServer 3.2.2 enables users to save data entered into a PDF form, for offline filing and printing.
Users can save form data to a separate FDF, PDF or XFDF file and import data from an FDF, XFDF or XML file, according to the release.
The solution is compatible with Internet Explorer, Pentium processors, and the following operating systems: Windows 9x/ME/NT 3.x/NT/2000/XP; Linux; and Mac PPC.

Softland Launches NovaPDF 1.1 Alternative PDF Solution
Last week, Romania-based Softland SRL announced the release of its NovaPDF 1.1, a complete PDF solution with pricing for the "Lite" edition starting at less than twenty dollars.
NovaPDF 1.1 converts printable documents into PDF files and enables password protection capability in 40-bit and 128-bit encryption. Users can customize paper size and output options, including resolution, font embedding, and compression of text and images, according to the company.

Big Faceless Organization Refreshes Big Faceless PDF Library 2.4.2
On Monday, U.K.-based Big Faceless Organization released Big Faceless PDF Library 2.4.2, a Java-class library for creating and editing PDF form documents.
According to the company's change log, this release offers improved text handling of extremely long text, boosted annotation capabilities and some minor bug fixes.
Pricing for a single CPU license starts at $850.
