ScanSoft Inc., on Wednesday signed a worldwide license agreement with Visioneer Inc. that will bundle ScanSoft imaging software with Visioneer scanning solutions.

The imaging software licensed from ScanSoft includes ScanSoft PaperPort, a PC-based document management solution, and ScanSoft's OmniPage, a PDF conversion and optical character recognition application for PCs, ScanSoft said.

Open Text Corp. on Thursday announced its accounts payable application called Vendor Invoice Management to automate the processing of incoming invoices.

Using Open Text's Livelink ECM users also can access the SAP solution-based documents and manage the content in a collaborative online workspace, the company said.

Creo Inc. on Monday announced the latest release of its PDF-based print production workflow solution, Prinergy 3.0.

In version 3.0, Creo added the Prinergy Rules-Based Automation tool, which allows users to automate their print workflows by creating specific prepress workflow rules using an icon-based user interface, the company said.

Hummingbird Ltd. and Omtool Ltd. on Thursday announced the integration of Omtool's AccuRoute with Hummingbird's LegalKEY Records Management.

The integrated solution is used by law firms to manage both electronic and hard-copy documents in a multitiered and fully indexed system.

AccuRoute enables users to convert hard-copy documents into searchable PDFs for boosted accessibility and management of electronic records. The electronic forms can then be imported as file attachments to records in the LegalKEY database system, according to the companies.
