Salty Brine Software Refreshes TEXTfromPDF
Palm Coast, Fla.-based Salty Brine Software has released version 1.2.1 of its text extraction tool TEXTfromPDF.
TEXTfromPDF Version 1.2.1 lets users employ batch conversion for multiple PDFs to a text file, and does not require Adobe software.
According to the company, developers can also import the text file contents into a variety of databases for content management purposes. TEXTfromPDF was designed for use with WinXP/2000.

Sunbowsoft Gives Users More Functionality with PowerSheet 3.2
Sunbowsoft Inc. has introduced PowerSheet 3.2, a spreadsheet and PDF design tool that lets users create PDF documents from spreadsheet cells.
The updated version gives users more flexibility in report design and boosted compatibility for Access, Sybase, SQL Server and Oracle.
PowerSheet lets users save data in report templates that can then be saved as PDF documents. It is compatible with all Windows operating systems.
The tool is priced at $59.95.
White Wolf Software Throws Spotlight on FormMate
Littleton, Colo.-based White Wolf Software Inc. has updated FormMate, its form-filling desktop software for use with PDF forms.
With the release of FormMate 1.3, the company has added Spotlight support so that FormMate document information can now be found with Spotlight searches. The company also corrected minor bugs with thumbnails and the QuickCells function.
The current release is compatible with Mac OS X 10.2 and greater.
The desktop utility is priced at $29.95 and is available at the company's Web site.
