Iceni Technology Releases Infix PDF Editor 1.2
On Wednesday, UK-based Iceni Technology Ltd. released Infix PDF Editor 1.2, its word processor and PDF document editor that gives users the ability to edit text in any existing PDF document.
Infix PDF Editor 1.2 offers users the ability to edit text and formatting as well as adjust fonts, colors and sizes in the PDF document.
The PDF editing tool also offers a built-in search and replace feature for modifying larger PDF documents.
Infix PDF Editor 1.2 is priced at $99 and is compatible with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP operating systems. Users do not need Acrobat or any other PDF software to use the PDF editor, according to the company.

Aloaha Gives Digital Signature Power
On Tuesday, Germany-based Aloaha Software, part of Wrocklage Intermedia GmbH, rolled out its Digital Signature Pack aimed at what it termed "accelerating widespread acceptance of digital signatures/e-ID cards."
The Digital Signature Pack includes a PC/SC-capable Smartcard Reader, a smart card and the Aloaha PDF Suite, enabling users to create digitally signed PDF documents from Windows applications, according to the company.

Two Pilots Releases PDF Creator Pilot 2.5
On Tuesday, Chicago-based Two Pilots released PDF Creator Pilot 2.50, its programming library for creating PDF files from Visual Basic, ASP, Delphi, Visual C++ and VBScript.
PDF Creator Pilot 2.5 gives users the ability to create watermarks for each page, add thumbnails to existing PDF documents and create interactive PDF documents using JavaScript and Hyperlinks.
With this release the company made minor bug fixes to the previous version.
PDF Creator Pilot is priced at $299 and can be purchased from the company's Web site.
CHL Software Updates PDFMoto
CHL Software has released PDFMoto 1.6, its Web publishing solution that now features improved PDF conversion capabilities, supports hyperlinks and includes a batch conversion option.
PDFMoto is configured to monitor a specified network directory, and when a user creates a new document or edits an existing document, PDFMoto converts the document into PDF format and automatically publishes it to the designated area on a Web site, according to the company's product information.
Users can also apply its publishing features to publish files to multiple destinations, including both intranet and Internet sites. The application runs on Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows 2003 and Windows XP.
