Helios Supports Adobe Acrobat 7
Helios Software GmbH of Garbsen, Germany, has added support for Adobe Acrobat 7 on Mac OS X and Windows systems for its server-based PDF creation application Create PDF Server.
Create PDF Server enables users to print to a Create PDF printer queue and automatically create PDF documents from any PostScript print job.
In addition, the server solution developer also announced a preview release of Create PDF Server for Mac OS X using Distiller 7. The company said the software will not be available until the next PDF HandShake version is available.

Universe Refreshes pdf-Office
Universe Software GmbH has released version 3.6 of its pdf-Office software for creating PDF forms and pre-fill form fields electronically.
With the pdf-Office 3.6 release, users now have the ability to copy and paste text from Microsoft Word and maintain all original formatting.
The software is priced at $59.

Big Faceless Organization Adds to PDF Library
London-based Big Faceless Organization has released its Acrobat PDF document creation application The Big Faceless Java PDF Library 2.4.3, adding support for XFA forms, Acrobat 7 encryption, PDF417 and QR Code bar codes.
In addition, the library also includes full support for encoding Kanji, Kana and English, and adds support for PPM images to PDFImage class, according to the release change log. The change log also revealed that most of the existing Font code has been reworked to allow text extraction and rendering, which is in the works for a later release.
The Extended Edition of the library gives users the added ability to create and edit interactive PDF forms and digitally sign PDFs.
