Filehunter Software releases PDF Split Merge Pages Professional … Port Peg 1.3.5 converts PDFs to JPEG … Gerard Briscoe unveils joinPDF 2.3.

New PDF editing and merging capabilities come with the latest Filehunter Software release, while one PDF solution provider updates its PDF to JPEG conversion tool and another PDF developer helps users boost speeds in joining multiple PDFs for users.

Filehunter Software Releases PDF Split Merge Pages Professional

On Thursday, Australia-based Filehunter Software released PDF Split Merge Pages Professional. The PDF file utility tool can extract pages from PDF files, split PDF files, merge PDF pages into one PDF file, and extract bitmap, JPEG or TIFF images from PDF files.

In addition, users can define page size and orientation for extraction, and images from encrypted PDF files can also be extracted.

PDF Split Merge Pages Professional does not require Adobe Acrobat.

The solution is priced at $64.

Convert PDFs to JPEG with Port Peg 1.3.5

On Wednesday, MacCrafters Software released its PDF to JPEG conversion tool—Port Peg 1.3.5, a handy tool for converting PDF pages to JPEGs.

Port Peg is a PDF utility that enables users to open and display a PDF, and convert any designated page within the file to JPEG image. Users can also auto-trim to remove margins from the image and create thumbnails of the converted image.

The shareware fee is $10, and the utility is compatible with Mac operating systems, including Mac OS X 10.2 or greater.

joinPDF Version 2.3 Released

Last week developer Gerard Briscoe released joinPDF 2.3, a free command line tool for joining several PDF files expediently. New to this release is the capability to extract consecutive pages from a PDF file.

joinPDF 2.3 is compatible with Mac OS X 10.0 or higher.
