Big Faceless Organization Adds Java PDF Viewer
UK-based Big Faceless Organization has released Big Faceless Java PDF Viewer.
According to the company, the PDF Viewer, in conjunction with BFO's PDF Library, enables documents to be loaded and viewed in Java using a Swing component.
In addition, the release gives users document-to-bitmap conversion capabilities using the Java Image API or TIFF writer supplied with the extension.
The PDF Viewer can be purchased as an extension to BFO's PDF Library Extended and starts at $400.
BFO offers a fully functional free trial of the PDF Library for download.
QuadriSpace Unveils Document3D
Allen, Texas-based QuadriSpace Corp. has announced Document3D, its desktop publishing solution for creating interactive Adobe PDF files that include three-dimensional objects.
The solution gives users the ability to import 3D CAD files directly into documents and utilize the integrated tool set for page design and 3D editing processes.
The release is compatible with Adobe 7.0 or the free Adobe Reader 7.0.
Users can download a trial version of the release from the company's Web site.
Recosoft Refreshes PDF2Office
Recosoft Corp. has released PDF2Office Personal v.2.0.1, which updates its plug-in for converting PDF documents to MS Word format.
The Osaka, Japan-based company said it tweaked existing compatibility issues for converting PDF files generated under Mac OS X 10.4 and boosted character style capabilities.
The update is free for users of PDF2Office Personal Version 2.0 for Mac OS X and can be downloaded from Recosoft's Web site.
PDF2Office 2.0.1 for Mac OS X is priced at $59.00.
