On Windows, either ScanSoft's PDFConverter or BCL's Drake. On Mac OS X, PDF2Office from RecoSoft. ?Leonard

Keep in mind that ScanSoft has two versions of PDF2 Word ? the Professional version has a list of $99, but is frequently on sale for $39 or $49 -- at say Fry's. I think there is enough of a difference that you want to look for the 'upscale'. --Joe Murphey

ScanSoft's PDF Converter is an effective tool, but be sure to read the help files. It can be a bit confusing at first since you'll be working within the Word program to activate the conversion. A bit counterintuitive, but it does the job! The only objects you can't access after conversion are images that have been brought in. ?Kathleen Moran
