By using the Online Editor function in the open-source content management system, users have the ability to write content without tags in the XML fields by using predefined buttons, according to Norway-based eZ Systems.
With this release, the company also fixed bugs found in the kernel as well as enhanced the administration interface and enabled support for compressed Web pages.
eZ Publish 3.5.2 stores all content in XML, giving users the ability to publish the content through other channels and formats such as WAP, SMS and print. PDF export of content for print is also a standard function.
eZ Publish can be used on Windows and several Unix variants, including OS X, Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, and IRIX. eZ Publish is open software and dual licensed. The company offers a general public license and a professional license of the content management system.
