The latest upgrades to Enthropia's Evo-Dev division's EvoArticles 2.0 and EvoTopsites 2.0 include improved features for content management.Evo-Dev, the Web site software division of Toronto-based Enthropia Inc., has released EvoArticles 2.0 and EvoTopsites 2.0, which are Web site management products focusing on easier user and administrative interfaces and enabling users to manage the challenges of updating, design, and content access rights more efficiently.
Daniel Coburn, operations manager for Evo-Dev, stated in the release, "The Internet has been a great way to publish and get your message, column or article out to the public. Managing multiple writers, editing articles and trying to keep up with the community has become a long and monotonous task. Uploading and managing files and edits can take time away from your focus, the content."
Coburn continued, "This is why, with the success of the original EvoArticles, the new 2.0 release focuses on the consumer's time by providing online documentation, an improved client area and active support forums."
EvoArticles 2.0's sister product, the upgraded EvoTopsites 2.0, has boosted features to help users generate traffic and build community, said the company in the release.
The article management system does not require HTML knowledge and allows for Web-based access. The WYSIWYG editor is compatible with Internet Explorer, Opera and Firefox browsers. Additional features include a built-in glossary, a cache system for optimal CPU utilization, and the ability to make thumbnails out of associated images.
For a smaller publisher the application is ideal in that articles can be uploaded without HTML knowledge and future publishing dates with active or validation requirements can be set. The application also has several built-in quick buttons to expedite the content-style process.
One of the more appealing aspects of the application, as noted in Enthropia's Web site product information, is the fully functional RSS feed option, which users can use to supply an RSS feed on new articles, most popular articles, highest rated articles, and unique category or search results.
EvoArticles 2.0 is priced reasonably at $247 and can be downloaded in less than ten minutes, according to the company.
