Image2PDF Add-On Converts Images to PDFs
On Monday, Chicago, Ill.-based Two Pilots released version 1.0 of its Image2PDF Add-on, a library that helps users convert images to PDFs using Two Pilot's PDF Creator Pilot.
With Version 1.0 of Image2PDF Add-on, users can apply filters, watermarks and logos to images, as well as batch convert folders of images to PDFs. PDF Creator Pilot is a developer's library enabling PDF file creation from Visual Basic, ASP, Delphi, Visual C++, VBScript.
Image2PDF Add-on supports all major file image formats, including BMP, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, and TGA. Developers can also create a Web-based conversion tool that converts images to PDFs online, according to the company.
Image2PDF Add-on 1.0 only works with PDF Creator Pilot and is priced at $69.00 per license.

Aloaha Releases Updated Aloaha PDF Suite with Bookmarking Support
Aloaha Software, of Ibbenbüren, Germany, has announced the release of its Aloaha PDF Suite 2.1.71, with the existing Aloaha PDF Editor supporting the addition or editing of PDF Bookmarks.
In addition, with the 2.1.71 release users can sort and reorder pages inside the document as well as add additional pages to a document.
Upgrades of Aloaha PDF Suite are free to existing users; license pricing for new users starts at $49 and can be downloaded here.

Open Archive Adds PDF Support to echive 5.0
Windham, N.H.-based Open Archive Systems Inc. has announced the release of its echive Organizer and Explorer Version 5.0 document management software with enhanced PDF support and new user interface enhancements.
The updated software offers full PDF compatibility and the capability to view multiple Adobe file formats including Acrobat 7.0, and enables users to cut and paste PDF hidden text data into other application files, according to the company.
The release also includes a hidden-text search feature, which enables users to search for text contained in PDF files, including hidden text, and highlights the text search string based on the Adobe OCR conversion.
