Mapsoft Computer Services Ltd. on Friday unveiled its Mapsoft Plug-In Suite, which the company said combines more than 18 of its publishing tools for manipulating PDF files.

The plug-in suite also includes Automator, which is a batching tool that allows users to automate sequences of publishing tasks into one step.

Pricing for the suite, which is available now, runs at $599.

Arbortext Inc. and Trados Inc. last week announced their alliance aimed at boosting enterprise publishing with the release of the Arbortext-Trados solution.

The solution expedites and widens the availability of content to global markets. Using the solution enables companies to create and manage content through the entire publishing life cycle as well as to deliver and reuse the content globally.

The joint solution was showcased at the Arbortext User Group International conference in Orlando, Fla.

Vignette Corp. on Wednesday announced the availability of Vignette Records and Documents 7.0.

The release is a Java-based enterprise document and records management solution integrated with the Vignette Portal solution for enabling Web-based access.

Vignette said the solution's search capabilities now allow for faster and more precise searching, and there are enhanced data access controls for users.
