With Version 3.0 users can ensure more precise column alignment in the conversion process by manually specifying column spacing prior to conversion from PDF to Excel.

For Word conversions, the PDF converter tool gives users the ability to convert existing data into Word using a new output option that eliminates text boxes, giving users more document editing capabilities without having to adjust or add text boxes.

Morrisville, N.C.-based SkySof Software Inc. has announced the release of its PDFViewer OCX. PDFViewer OCX is an ActiveX component for software developers that offers full PDF functionality for editing and displaying Adobe Acrobat PDF files within their application.

PDFViewer OCX gives users the ability to save and print PDF files as well as search functionality for text within PDF files, zoom functions and spell check buttons, according to the company.

PDFViewer OCX requires Adobe Acrobat Reader, and the cost of licensing is $299.95 per developer and $995 for a full developer site license.

U.K.-based Tracker Software Products Ltd. has released its PDF file creation software PDF-XChange 3.4083.

The company targeted this version at resolving minor bugs and fixes from the previous release including adjustments to print imaging, positioning watermarks, improvement of Range entry verification PDF-XChange preferences and boosted printer compatibility.

PDF-XChange is an alternative and economical application for creating Adobe-compatible PDF files from Windows-based software including MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD and MS Publisher.
