Recent product announcements aimed at new enterprise publishing, data capture and content distribution include: ABBYY targeting data capture; INEA boosting content distribution; and Arbortext tackling enterprise publishing.

  • ABBYY Releases FormReader 6.5

    ABBYY Software House on Monday announced FormReader 6.5, the latest version of its data capture platform.

    According to the company, ABBYY Formreader 6.5 Desktop Edition can process from 1,000 to 3,000 forms per day and interpret machine-print, isolated handprint, mark sense, and barcodes from paper forms either scanned or faxed.

    The platform is available in desktop, enterprise and developer editions.

    INEA Unveils INEA Content Distribution System

    INEA Corporation on Monday announced the release of its Content Distribution module that can be fully integrated with version 4.0 of the INEA financial processing platform released last week.

    The module enables enterprise-wide content distribution and allows for customizable user rights, secure Web page publishing, single sign-on and advanced search features, the company said.

  • Arbortext Announces Arbortext 3B2 9.0's Release in July

    Arbortext announced recently that it plans to release version 9.0 of its 3B2 enterprise publishing software in July 2005.

    The company said significant enhancements were made to boost the usability and processing speed as well as expediting the formatting of templates.

    The release will also come with support for TrueType and PostScript character shapes in OpenType fonts.
