Companies use tool to streamline digital archiving and provide self-service, Web-based retrieval for documents.
Create!form
International, Inc., a leading provider of software products that streamline and
enable output formatting and delivery of business documents, today announced the
introduction of Create!archive v2.7. Create!archive is a digital archiving
solution with Web-based, self-service search and retrieval capabilities.
Create!archive v2.7
incorporates significant new file and database management capabilities,
including document aging and duplicate management utilities for optimizing
network environments. Extended data entry capabilities now allow documents to be
entered into the archive via high-volume enterprise scanning, low-volume
departmental scanning, from the Windows desktop, or from Create!form documents
directly.
"Create!form's
archival product has allowed us to create easily accessible and efficient
electronic PDF archives of Create!form generated documents,” says Betty Sera,
Operations Manager IT for Oceanic Time Warner Cable. “We were able to eliminate
costly overhead typically associated with archiving and retrieving hard copy
documents such as invoices and statements. Create!archive provides our staff and
customers with instant Internet access to archived documents, which has
streamlined our customer service and improved customer
satisfaction.”
Mike Maziarka,
director, CAP Ventures, said, "CAP Ventures recently completed a study on ROI
for e-forms solutions based on the experiences of Create!form customers. We
found that Create!archive played a significant role in delivering savings by
providing the much needed long-term electronic access to delivered documents.
Create!archive v2.7's enhanced features, including the ability to archive
PC-based and scanned documents, will extend its value throughout the
organization."
Key features of Create!archive v2.7
include:
- Archive any
Create!form PC-based or scanned document (including text and spreadsheets) for
immediate access via the Web search client or network search interface.
- Duplicate Document
Identification utility corrals duplicate documents in a separate directory
where a user-friendly interface enables the administrator to review and add,
replace, retry, delete or accept the document.
- New Document Aging
functionality deletes older files or moves them off-line to save valuable disk
space, network traffic, and search return speed.
- Database Integrity
Checking assures users that index and stored documents match 1:1, enabling
Administrator directed re-index and restructuring
maintenance.
- Allows multiple
indexes, ports, and watch directories for configuration
flexibility.
- Customizable Search
Client lets users tailor the look, feel, and parameters of the search client,
including colors, images, logos, title bar text, search header text, column
ordering, and more.
Create!archive
v2.7 is scheduled to be available for purchase on April 28,
2003.
