The update to the PDF creation tool gives users shared network printing power and text printing optimization.Romania-based Softland SRL has announced the release of NovaPDF 2.0, a complete PDF creation solution.
The latest update adds shared network printing capabilities, PDF link support and boosted optimization for font recognition and output.
Daniel Ene, spokesperson for Softland, said Version 2.0 is optimized for printing text using fonts with a large number of characters (such as Japanese, Korean, Chinese, etc).
This optimization, according to Ene, allows PDF files to be generated more rapidly.
NovaPDF 2.0 supports PDF Links in documents, allowing NovaPDF Printer 2 to automatically recognize the links in the document and include them in the generated PDF as clickable links.
NovaPDF 2.0 also converts printable documents into PDF files and enables password protection capability in 40-bit and 128-bit encryption.
Users can customize paper size and output options, including resolution, font embedding and compression of text and images, according to the company.
The software comes in three editions: Lite, Standard and Professional.
The Professional edition, which comes with all features enabled, is priced at $39.95.
The other two editions, NovaPDF Standard and Lite, are the limited-functionality editions. NovaPDF is priced at $29.95 for the Standard edition, and $19.95 for the Lite Edition.
The company also offers a free version for download.
