Utility Warrior has released its Image to PDF Command Line Tool 1.0, which does not require Adobe Acrobat to run or produce PDF documents.

Image to PDF Command Line Tool 1.0 gives users the ability to convert images to PDF files directly from the command line or within a batch file.

The conversion utility also enables PDF permission settings and users can set preferred PDF viewing options and set PDF meta information.

The application runs $9.99, and can be downloaded from the company Web site here.

Germany-based Universe Software GmbH has enhanced the compression feature in its latest release pdf-DocPro 3.2, giving users the ability to reduce PDF files up to 90%.

In addition, with pdf-DocPro 3.2, users can set PDF presentation features, security permissions and printing options.

Universe Software GmbH has also enhanced the exporting ability for pdf-FieldMerge 4.0 its form-filling PDF utility.

Users can now export form field names with the release of 4.0. pdf-FieldMerge 4.0 also lets users merge variable data and graphics with PDF forms.
